Will I get an event shirt?

Everyone who pre-registers by August 1 is guaranteed an event t-shirt and a goodie bag. People who register the morning of the race will receive shirts and bags first-come, first-served until they run out.

Where do I park my car?

The Interpretive Center does not have a parking lot, but it is conveniently located on Breakwater Avenue, parking is available on both sides of the mile long street. A shuttle van will be going up and down the street between 7:30am and 8:30am to take people to the Center.

Will there be refreshments?

Yes. There will be water to drink and a food table with fruit and assorted snacks.

Is the race course certified?

Yes. Both the 5K and 10K courses are certified by U.S. Track and Field. The courses are measured by the shortest possible distance which may cause a discrepancy if you measure your own distance with GPS.

Can I listen to music while I run?

Yes. You can listen to an mp3 player while you run, but please note that bicyclists and hikers may be sharing the trail so be aware of your surroundings.

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are not allowed on the trail or at the center. This is a park rule set for the protection of the many wild animals that live here.

Can I run with a stroller?

Yes, you can run with a stroller. The trail is gravel and packed dirt, so make sure the wheels on the stroller can run over it smoothly.
